Bidwell Wrestling Academy Competitive Season

The sport of wrestling is one of the oldest sports in recorded history and is known to develop both the character and health of its practitioners. Our Academy has developed a curriculum that focuses on the process of learning the fundamental techniques of wrestling. Our program will cover all aspects of Folkstyle wrestling including: rules, scoring, takedowns, throws, escapes & reversals, pinning combinations & skill drills. Wrestlers will have the opportunity to apply their skills in competition during the winter competitive season, tournament fees are an additional cost @ $12/$15 a tournament. Wrestlers will be grouped by grade level and weight class. Local tournament locations and schedules will be given out during the parent orientation meeting. There is also a $50.00 equipment deposit that is returned at the end of the season when wrestlers return their singlet.
