Celebrate Fall with The Great Pumpkin Splash at PV Pool!

The Great Pumpkin Splash returns for its second year of Halloween fun, offering a family-friendly event that’s sure to make a splash! On Saturday, October 5th, the PV Rec Center & Pool will transform into a floating pumpkin patch, where kids and adults alike can swim, pick their favorite pumpkin, and enjoy an afternoon full of festive activities.

With two available sessions—1–3 PM and 4–6 PM—this event is designed to fit any schedule. Tickets are expected to sell out fast, so don’t wait to secure your spot at chicorec.gov/pumpkin-splash.

The highlight of The Great Pumpkin Splash is the floating pumpkin patch, where participants can dive in, swim around, and choose their perfect pumpkin straight from the water. After picking their pumpkin, children can decorate it and take it home as a cherished keepsake from this unique experience. But the fun doesn’t stop there—each ticket also includes two hours of pool time, a delicious sugar cookie decorating station provided by Brown Box Bakeshop, access to a fall craft station, and scrumptious hot chocolate and apple cider.

“We’re thrilled to offer this exciting event that combines the fun of Halloween with one last splash in the pool,” said CARD Public Outreach Specialist, Erin Horst. “It’s a really fun and unique way to celebrate the season with family and friends, while creating lasting memories.”

Event Details
Date: Saturday, October 5th, 2024
Location: PV Rec Center & Pool, 2320 North Ave, Chico, CA 95926
Sessions: 1–3 PM or 4–6 PM
Tickets: $10 per participant. All participants swimming for a pumpkin (including adults) must purchase a ticket. Participants who are not swimming or taking home a pumpkin do not need to buy a ticket.

Each ticket includes:

  • A pumpkin to decorate and take home
  • Two hours of pool time
  • Sugar cookie decorating station
  • Fall craft station
  • Hot chocolate & apple cider
