Hooker Oak ParkExperience the historic charm of Hooker Oak Park, nestled in north Chico on the southeast corner of Upper Bidwell Park along Manzanita Avenue. This 35-acre community park, owned by the City of Chico and operated by CARD, is steeped in history, once being the site of the iconic large Hooker Oak tree, featured in the 1930s movie "Robin Hood."
Humboldt Avenue Skate ParkHumboldt Skatepark is closed due to graffiti and vandalism, and will reopen on Thursday 11/20/25 at 8am, weather permitting.
Sycamore FieldSycamore Field offers the opportunity for general open field use, as well as for softball. This area is surrounded by the historic Valley Oaks and offers a great place for recreation activities.
Veterans Memorial ParkVeterans Memorial Park (previously Wildwood Park and was renamed in November 2024 to honor Chico's veterans) serves as the gateway to the scenic Upper Bidwell Park.
