Sycamore Field

 Sycamore Field

Sycamore Field offers the opportunity for general open field use, as well as for softball. Nestled in Lower Bidwell Park, the field is surrounded by historic valley oaks and offers a great place for recreation activities, with plenty of shade and room to spread out.

Bidwell Park is one of the largest municipal parks in the country, stretching more than 3,600 acres along Big Chico Creek from the heart of downtown into the foothills. The park was gifted to the people of Chico in 1905 by Annie Bidwell, and its tree-lined trails, swimming holes, and wide open spaces have been a community favorite ever since. Just steps from Sycamore Field you’ll find the One-Mile Recreation Area and Sycamore Pool, along with picnic areas, walking and biking paths, and the creek itself, making it easy to turn a game or practice into a full day in the park.
