After School Program

Recreation Leader

  • $16.50/hr, Seasonal

  • As an After School Program Recreation Leader, you’ll work alongside Chico Unified Administrators as a group leader with students in grades 1–5, assisting with academics and leading structured activities in a safe, engaging environment.

Inclusion Leader

  • $17.50/hr, Seasonal
  • Open Until Filled
  • As an Inclusion Leader, you’ll work alongside Chico Unified Administrators and CARD Recreation Leaders to support students who live with a disability or have diverse needs in grades 1–5. You will assist children and help them be successful as they navigate academics and structured activities in a safe, engaging environment.

Youth Programming

Youth Sports & Craft Leader

  • Join the team that brings creativity, play, and connection to kids in the Chapman neighborhood! The Program Development Team supports two of CARD’s most exciting youth enrichment programs: Chapman Champs (sports, teamwork, and recreation) and Studio 775 (art, creativity, and self-expression).
  • As part of this team, staff will help lead after-school activities that build confidence, curiosity, and community. Each day offers something new; one afternoon might include a friendly soccer scrimmage or playground challenge at Chapman Champs, while the next features painting, crafting, or storytelling in Studio 775.

Park Explorer's Survival Club Rec Staff

  • $16.50 - $19.50/hr, Seasonal
  • Position Open Until Filled
  • The Park Explorers Survival Club Staff helps lead CARD’s newest outdoor education adventure—an immersive, hands-on weekly program for 3rd-5th graders based out of the Chico Creek Nature Center. This role supports and guides participants as they explore the wild spaces surrounding the Nature Center, uncover hidden trails, learn to identify local wildlife, and practice essential survival skills such as navigation and shelter building.
