Welcome to CARD's Hiking Club, for grades 2nd-8th! This exclusive club will focus on showing participants the wonderful world of hiking in Chico's very own Upper Park, while exploring its native animals and plants. Each day will not only feature a hike, but will also include a game, activity, or scavenger hunt to add some extra excitement!

For centuries, the Brotherhood of Dragons has maintained a truce. These ancient dragons have agreed to keep to their own territory, leave each other alone, and avoid fighting their brothers. When one of the dragons is found dead in mysterious circumstances, the rest of the Brotherhood blames each other and declares war. A bold group of adventurers must travel between the realms of dragons to uncover the truth and stop the powerful dragons from accidentally destroying the world. This is a higher-level campaign suited for players with some previous D&D experience

Set sail for adventure aboard a magical submarine! Traveling in a fantastical underwater ship, a colorful cast of adventurers will explore the depths of the ocean, save underwater cities from sea monsters, and track down legendary cursed pirate ships. This is a mid-level campaign suited for players of all experience levels and beginners are welcome. Each month will feature a different self-contained storyline and can be enjoyed individually or as part of an ongoing campaign where returning players level up their characters and become participants in a larger story.

Training Methods: Positive Reinforcement using praise and treats, will introduce Clicker Training for Precision. In addition to Training Sessions, Students will be asked to work with their dogs at home for 15 minutes a day.

Dive into the world of modern music production in this hands-on Electronic Music Intensive. Using industry-standard software—FL Studio and Logic Pro—students will learn to create their own beats, tracks, and remixes in a variety of styles including hip-hop, EDM, house, trap, and dubstep.

Join the Butte Sailing Club for an introduction to sailing. The course covers boating safety, knots, rigging, and sailing theory. On the water skills such as boat handling, docking, sail trim, and capsize recovery will be taught on the Vagabond 14 sailboats. This class follows the guidelines set by US Sailing but does not offer a US Sailing certificate.

Experience Upper Bidwell Park after dark! Each Saturday night excursion offers a guided adventure timed with the night sky - from moonlit hikes to meteor showers. We begin at nautical twilight, when the first stars appear and the world shifts into night. Learn about the park's geology, wildlife, and night sky from a certified naturalist's perspective.

Attend a FREE class with 8 weekly sessions designed for men and women who have or want to assist people who have suffered unwelcome change, loss or turmoil and are seeking to enhance their outlook on life.

Embark on a guided 4-hour trek to Bear Hole - one of Upper Bidwell Park's most iconic and scenic destinations. Along the way, we'll explore the volcanic origins, erosional forces, and riparian habitats that shape this dramatic canyon landscape. Learn to recognize native plants and their ecological relationships within the park's diverse habitats, from oak woodland to rocky stream corridors. This immersive hike blends natural history, geology, and field-based observation to deepen your understanding of Upper Bidwell's living landscape.

Explore Upper Bidwell Park's spring bloom and discover how soil composition, microclimates, and geology shape the diversity of native wildflowers and pollinators. This interpretive hike emphasizes the ecological and geomorphic relationships that sustain Chico's wildflower displays.
