Starlight Stories: New Moon Night Hikes

Experience the beauty of the night sky over Horseshoe Lake under the new moon, where the absence of moonlight allows the stars to shine even brighter. Join us for a guided hike through the oak woodlands and open meadows of Upper Bidwell Park, with Horseshoe Lake as our scenic backdrop. Each hike features themed storytelling, weaving together myths and legends about the constellations with explorations of nocturnal plant and animal adaptations.

Upper Park Discovery Hikes

Discover the wonders of Upper Bidwell Park! Join us on a hike as we learn about the history and ecosystems of Upper Park, revealed through geology. Brush up on your identification skills as we ID local flora, fauna, and geographic features along the way. These hikes will meet at Upper Park, Designated Parking Area E and will be held on uneven, rocky terrain with mild elevation.

Interactive D&D

Prepare for adventure! In this interactive D&D experience, players will not only play through the story but also get to engage in a hands-on way by crafting items, solving puzzles, playing games, and more. Each month will feature a different self-contained storyline as characters travel through a fantasy realm searching for lost treasure, fighting monsters, solving mysteries, and making a name for themselves as legendary adventurers. Join for one adventure or all! Beginners are welcome, no previous D&D experience is required.

A Very Magical Cinderella Tea Party 

Join us for a magical Cinderella tea party surrounded by an enchanting garden themed tea setting, dancing ballerinas, crafts and delightful desserts. Your child will have the wonderful opportunity to dance, create and immerse themselves into the world of Cinderella for the afternoon. Participants will enjoy a special sneak peak of rehearsals of CCB’s Full-Length Production ‘Cinderella” that will be performed January 24-26 at Laxson Auditorium. Come dressed in your fanciest dress as we get ready to let our Fairy Godmother work her magic.
