Fencing
Whether inspired by a swashbuckling blockbuster, or a dream of competing for gold at the Olympics, there is a place for everyone in the art of fencing. Classes will teach students the fundamentals of fencing as well as bring them up to a competitive level if they so desire. Bring a water bottle. Students must wear closed toe shoes and pants that cover their entire legs (such as sweatpants). Students are required to have their own equipment by the end of their second month in the class. Before attending their first class, students must sign up for an access membership under the club Chico Fencing Center through USA fencing. It is $29.00 and lasts until the end of July 2025.

Where it all begins! This class will focus on the basics of fencing, such as footwork, blade work, and the rules of fencing in a fun engaging way. There will also be an emphasis on responsibility, respect, and discipline. No classes on holidays.

Fencing Tournament
Put the skills you learned in class to the test in a fun and competitive atmosphere. Participants will fence in round-robin style pools and then fence off in a single-elimination bracket. Fencing experience is required to participate.
