Park Explorers Survival Club

Calling all 1st-5th graders to join the Park Explorers Survival Club for an outdoor adventure like no other! Each week, participants will set out to explore the wild spaces around the Chico Creek Nature Center — uncovering hidden trails, spotting local wildlife (and meeting the animals that live at the Nature Center!), and learning essential survival skills like navigation and shelter building. Through hands-on challenges, team games, and nature discoveries, every session brings a new adventure that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and fosters a deeper connection to the great outdoors.

*Which session should my 3rd grader register for?
Session placement for 3rd graders depends on your child’s maturity level and comfort with outdoor and basic survival skills. Our 1st–3rd grade session is 1.5 hours long and offered at a lower cost, making it a great option for younger or newer explorers. The 3rd–5th grade session runs for a full 2 hours and is slightly higher in price, designed for participants who are ready for longer activities and outdoor experience.
