Welcome to CARD's Hiking Club, for grades 2nd-8th! This exclusive club focuses on showing the wonderful world of hiking in Chico’s very own Upper Park. Each week, hikers will learn essential hiking skills, including trail etiquette, while building friendships and teamwork. Get ready for fresh air, exercise, and unforgettable memories with CARD's Hiking Club—where every hike is a new adventure!

Program Information
💰FEE: $85
🤸♀️GRADES: 2nd-8th
📍PROGRAM LOCATION: We will be meeting at the Chico Community Observatory for drop-off and pick-up.
⛅WEATHER: We will NOT have the program if the weather does not permit safe terrain. Updates will be given through text and our CARD Field and Weather website
🥾GET HIKING: You will not be contacted by a coach before the program and should show up the first day at your registered time ready to hike!
🌞LEVEL: Each hike will be at a pace that keeps all participants safe and at an easy/intermediate level.
🌲WHAT TO BRING: Closed-toed shoes and athletic clothing with layers, a full water bottle that can be carried on each hike, a light snack to have during break, backpack to put all belongings in (each participant is responsible for carrying all their belongings at all times). Participants should already arrive with sunscreen on!
