The Chico Area Recreation & Park District (CARD) is excited to announce the return of the Chico Ice Rink to Downtown Plaza in collaboration with the City of Chico and the Downtown Chico Business Association (DCBA). Opening on November 15th, the rink promises a winter wonderland of fun and festive activities for the entire community.

"We are thrilled to partner once again with the City of Chico and DCBA to bring back the beloved Chico Ice Rink," said Annabel Grimm, General Manager of CARD. "This collaboration allows us to create memorable experiences for Chico residents and visitors alike, enhancing our community's holiday spirit."

The Chico Ice Rink will host a variety of programs throughout the season, including a Thanksgiving canned food drive, the DCBA Christmas Tree Lighting, the Ho Ho Hoedown featuring 103.5 The Blaze, silent disco nights, themed Thursdays, and more. Additionally, the rink will offer skating lessons, hockey lessons, an adult ice broomball league, field trips, cabana rentals, and more to cater to everyone's holiday plans and celebrations, offering fun for all ages.

Public Outreach Specialist Erin Horst reports that CARD is currently seeking business involvement at the Ice Rink through a specialized sponsorship program, stating, "There’s something truly special about being part of a Chico holiday tradition like the ice rink. Sponsorships go beyond business—they help create a magical space where families and friends come together to celebrate the season. It’s a gift that keeps giving; both to our community and to the businesses that support it."

Sponsorship opportunities for the Chico Ice Rink range from custom dasher boards starting at $500 to comprehensive packages starting at $1,000, which include guest passes, website recognition, logo placement on social media shoutouts, and more. Special discounted sponsorship levels are available for Downtown Chico Businesses, aiming to support and celebrate our vibrant local economy.
