Welcome to the CARD FAQ Page for Creating a New Account in RecTech!
We're moving to a brand-new recreation software platform, and it's going to make finding, registering for, and enjoying your favorite programs easier than ever. We're so excited to bring this experience to our community!
There are three ways:
1. Visit chicorec.gov and select Customer Account Login
2. Go directly to https://www.rec.us/chicorec
3. Click Register Online on any program page
Yes, for any programming running through May 31, 2026. All June programming and on will be in our new system.
*Once those programs are completed, your Active account will no longer be used for future registrations.
Any class or activity you register for on or after June 1, 2026, will require your new Rec account.
You cannot change your birthday or mobile phone number once you’ve signed up for your account. To update this information for yourself or a household member, please email info@chicorec.gov.

- $0 due at registration (if registering before May 8)
- 20% due on May 8 (If someone registers after May 8, 20% would be due at the time of registration.)
- 80% due on:
- May 26 for June camps
- June 15 for July camps
- July 20 for Aug camps
*This is only for camps that are 3 hours or more.
