The CARD Adult Softball league offers a variety of divisions to accommodate players of every skill level.  Whether you are a novice fielder or a seasoned hitter, you'll find the appropriate level of competition among our various divisions of play.

Monster Mash "Big Ball" Tournament

Step up to the plate for one of Chico’s favorite Halloween traditions! The Monster Mash “Big-Ball” Tournament is a coed softball showdown like no other, played with a 16-inch “Chicago” style softball.

Bring your costumes and your team spirit! Teams are encouraged to play in costume, with prizes awarded for Best Individual Costume and Best Team Costume. Plus, any team with all players dressed up gets a bonus “4th out” advantage per game.  "T-shirt" costumes do not qualify.

Winter '26/'27 League Registration

Due to limited availability, spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for each division will close when capacity is reached or when the published deadline is reached, whichever occurs first. CARD reserves the right to close registration for any division at any time, at its sole discretion.

Registration opens - Monday, September 14

Registration deadline - Friday, November 13, or when spaces fill.

Winter '26/'27 League Information

GAME TIMES: Game days vary by division and start the week of December 7. Games may start at any time between 6:00 and 10:00 PM. 

GAME SCHEDULE: Game schedules will be posted by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24. 

TEAM MANAGERS: Attendance at the pre-season meeting is mandatory—each team must have its Team Manager present to be placed on the game schedule. Please see the link below for full details. Team Managers are fully responsible for the conduct and actions of all team members and spectators.

LEAGUE FORMAT: 7-game guarantee, playoffs for top 4 teams

LEAGUE FEE: $480/Team, $45/Free Agent

ROSTERS: Once game schedules are posted, Team Managers should sign in to their TeamSideline account to add players to their rosters.

DIVISIONS OF PLAY: Divisions of Play can be found HERE

LEAGUE MOVEMENT & DIVISION PLACEMENT: Teams may be moved from their division of choice, at the discretion of the Sports Leadership Team at the discretion of the Sports Leadership Team if at the discretion of the Sports Leadership Team if, should it be deemed beneficial to the CARD softball program.  Prior team history and records will be considered when the league is created. League champions MAY be moved up to a higher Division for the subsequent season if deemed appropriate. Teams that struggle in a given division may also be moved down. Our goal is to facilitate proper placement over time. While you may not consider yourself a “D” or “E1” level team, you may be one of the top teams playing on that evening, making it necessary that you play in a higher (or lower) league.  Note: Novice and Rec Divisions are NOT intended for players/teams that play in D and/or E1 Divisions. A rostered D player may not play on a Novice or Rec team
