Lifeguarding for CA with Bundle 5

Successful completion of this course allows participants to work for CARD at the 1-Mile Pool and Pleasant Valley Pool. The primary purpose of the Lifeguarding for CA w/Bundle 5 is to train Lifeguards to act with speed and confidence in emergency situations, both in and out of the water. This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies (up to 10ft) and provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. Also: First aid that meets CA Title 22.

Sa/Su 9:00a-5:00p (Saturday at Durham Pool)

Locations: PV Rec Center/PV Pool - Deepwater component will be held at Durham Pool

Lifeguarding for CA– Blended Learning Recertification

This class is for Lifeguards who need to renew their current certificates (This review does NOT include Title 22) Participants must show proof of current Lifeguard certification. This class is NOT for new lifeguard candidates.

The class is limited to the first 10 participants.

This course is designed for lifeguards who need to renew their Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification before its expiration and requires minimal coaching and review of skills. Participants will have the opportunity to practice and perform skills for evaluation and complete the final written exam(s) for the course being reviewed.
