Tap Dance for Beginners
Step, shuffle, and tap your way into the world of rhythm! This upbeat beginner class introduces young dancers to the foundations of tap dance—learning how to create clear sounds, count music, and understand rhythm patterns. Students will explore classic tap technique along with fun jazz-inspired movement to help build musicality, balance, and coordination. Through games, creative exercises, and dynamic music, dancers gain confidence, body awareness, and an appreciation for the art of tap—all while having a blast!
Attire :
- Tap shores required.
- Girls: A black leotard and comfortable bottoms.
- Boys: White t-shirt and black athletic shorts. Leotards and more available at Kinetics dancewear store.
Choreography for performances may be taught and practiced anytime.
We are closed February 16, March 14 – 20. No regular class June 8 – 13 as we are at the theatre.
