Advanced Bot Builders Camps offer a week of applying the elements of robotics. Campers will put your new skills to the test in our competition at the end of the week using VEX V5 robotics platform! Campers will be placed in teams, led by Alumni of Butte Built Bots and Inspire Robotics in designing, building, and operating a robot in an exciting game at the end of the week! If you participated last summer, the game will be different so we would love for you to join us again! Campers should bring water, lunch, and snacks.

Join Chico Creative for a colorful, creative week of painting, drawing, and imagination! Young artists (ages 6+) will explore watercolor magic, bold acrylics, and expressive drawing techniques while creating vibrant masterpieces to take home. Led by artist Jessica Mae, campers will discover stories of inspiring artists, experiment with exciting materials, and build confidence in their own unique style. This camp is all about curiosity, color, and creativity — so be ready to make art, make friends, and make something amazing!

Get ready for a week that sparkles! Join Chico Creative on a dazzling adventure where kids will create their own beaded suncatchers and jewelry! Young artists will join art instructor Jessica Mae, as they design sparkling accessories, string together colorful beads, and craft beautiful suncatchers that shine in the light.

Fly high at this unique circus themed camp. Learn basics on the lyra (hoop), aerial hammock and trapeze! Aerial arts is a type of performance in which artists perform aerial acrobatics while hanging from things like fabric or a hoop. Also, have fun with hula hoops, balancing skills, acrobatics and silly skits.

Roll into fun- From Sweet Cinnamon Rolls to Savory Breads! Love overnight bread or want to know how to make quick rolls for dinner? Over the course of the week, we will get rolling with making cinnamon rolls, soft rolls, pita bread and pretzels. Last day of class culminates with a pizza party!

We will be taking daily walks to Bidwell Park to build forts and play along the creek before we return to build with Legos. Kids can’t help but have fun, get dirty and come home worn out from all the activity that takes place in Hooker Oak Park by upper Bidwell Park. The week is spent singing camp songs, going on nature hikes, playing games and cooling off with water activities.

Design and build your own miniature dream house! In this 5-day art camp, students will create, furnish, and decorate their own miniature cardboard modular houses. Students will enjoy this workshop style learning environment where they can select the materials they want to bring their ideas to life. Emphasis on problem-solving and knowledge of materials and tools.

During this 5-day art camp, students will create a living fairy garden-scape to take home with handmade figurines, live plants, moss, rocks, and fairy houses. Students will enjoy this workshop style learning environment where they can select the materials they want to bring their ideas to life.

Put on your sleuthing hat and join us for a week of mysteries and storytelling! Work together to investigate monsters hiding in a village, play as magical characters solving a crime in an enchanted forest, solve a mystery in a wizard’s tower, and create your own mystery game to share.

In this camp, we will explore different techniques used to create clothing and accessories. Projects will include drawing and designing clothes, making mixed-media fashion collages, basic sewing, basic pattern making, fabric embellishment techniques, and upcycling clothing. We’ll end our week with a fashion show!

Campers will have a ball learning and practicing gymnastics skills. Camp will include stretching, conditioning and teaching of drills to build strong gymnastics skills. Crafts, games and open gym time make this camp a winner.

Working on a back handspring, back tuck or aerial? How about walk-overs on the beam or a kip on the bar. If you want to perfect those skills or continue to practice them, then this camp is for you. We’ll get serious with stretching, conditioning and focusing on those skills YOU’RE trying to achieve. With a bit of personalization this camp is like none other. Please bring water and a snack.

Open gym time will allow your child to practice their skills on their own. Coaches will monitor safe play and assist where needed. Although a coach will be on site, this is not a coach guided class.

Join us at CARD’s Inclusive Summer Camp! This indoor, inclusive summer camp is designed for children and teens of all abilities, communication styles, and mobility levels, with a focus on supporting campers living with disabilities or with higher support needs. Our program provides a predictable, structured, and welcoming environment where campers can participate in ways that work best for them.

The Intermediate/Advanced Bot Builders Camps offer more creative freedom and are aimed at students who already have experience working with VEX IQ. The Intermediate/Advanced Bot Builders Camp often uses the current season’s challenge as the end of camp competition, to both expose campers to the current year’s game as well as allow campers a chance to come up with creative solutions to challenges posed in the current year’s game, which the campers could then take those ideas back and further develop if they participate in a league team.

The Introductory Bot Builders Camps are designed for students who have some or no VEX IQ experience. The camps will be very structured, with more building and programming instruction for the students. Campers will build a set robot and be guided through having it perform set tasks. In the Introductory Bot Builders Camp the end of camp competition may be the current season’s challenge or may be a previous season’s challenge. Campers should bring water, lunch, and snacks.

Step into the spotlight at Junior Cosmetology Camp, where creativity, confidence, and self-expression shine! Campers will dive into the exciting world of beauty while learning that true beauty starts from within. Each student will work hands-on with their own mannequin head and wig to design a head-turning look—cutting, coloring, and styling it to perfection and taking it home as their masterpiece. Campers will also explore makeup application and nail techniques, gaining real skills in a fun, supportive environment. Taught in an uplifting, affirmation-filled setting, this camp encourages students to embrace who they are while adding their own unique flair. The experience wraps up with a fabulous fashion show, where campers strut their stuff and proudly showcase the looks they created themselves!

Little Ninjas wrestling will include mat games, tumbling, basic wrestling instruction and live wrestling. Focus will be on fun while teaching the basic skills in the sport of wrestling.
